We believe that the key to change is through communication and collaboration. It truly does take a village to raise a child. We aim to build that village into a safe, inviting, and all-inclusive space. We understang that much of our issues stem from childhood trauma. Which is why we've collaborated with first hand knowledge keepers, grassroots organizations, and people dedicated to creating change while promoting a positive healing journey.
Project Outsiders is a youth-led social organization that works towards better outcomes for youth in and from the foster care system, through advocacy and direct support. We are trying to bridge the gap between youth in care and the decision-makers when it comes to having discussions and developing solutions regarding issues that make the foster care system dysfunctional, and a traumatic experience for thousands of kids.
Winnipeg Mom's Group provides a non-judgmental environment that allows our members to find support, resources, and a sense of being. It's important to make an impact within our community. We believe creating a village will help us ensure our children see a difference in society when they are older. We welcome all ages and encourage our members to establish relationships within the group and community to strengthen their support system. We focus on making a difference around poverty, mental health, addiction, and domestic violence.
